Kat Von D Tattoo Liner Review

KVD Tattoo Liner

Hello Beauties! Sorry I have been a little M.I.A. with my blog lately but if you follow me on Instagram, you would have noticed I have been a busy bee celebrating my birthday which just passed on the 24th. 🎉 Now that the birthday celebrations are over, I have a little free time to catch up on all of your posts and relax a little before getting back to the grind.

Today I am going to talk about my holy grail liquid eyeliner. I absolutely love liquid liner and wear it ALL the time. I have been the biggest fan of the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner for the longest. I must have purchased dozens of the Stila liquid eyeliner in Dark Brown and Intense Black. While the Stila liquid eyeliner has been my go-to liner for a while, I found that after I have used it for a period of time, the thin marker-like tip wears / frays and becomes too bendable. The tip is just not as firm as I would like it to be for a precise wing. I also noticed a few tiny hairs at the very end of the tip. For a $22 liquid eyeliner, I simply expect for the tip to stay the same and I also expect to get a ton of usage. I don’t seem to be getting that with the Stila liquid eyeliner.

After reading rave reviews on the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did. If you know anything about Kat Von D other than the fact she is a tattoo artist, model, musician, and television personality, you know she loves to sport a cat eye look all the time. So, of course, the product I was looking forward to trying the most from her beauty line was her Tattoo Liner. I bought this eyeliner about a month ago from Sephora ($19) and wanted to give it a good try before reaching my verdict with it. And the verdict is in. KVD’s Tattoo Liner is a life changer…..Holy Grail!!!

KVD’s Tattoo Liner is a waterproof liquid eyeliner with a superfine firm brush tip (but still flexible enough to glide along your lids and create a fluid application) that will not fray like traditional felt tip liners tend to do. I have been using this liner consistently for the past month and the tip has not changed one bit. No hairs, no bend, nothing. This liquid eyeliner is perfect for achieving the perfect wing. It allows you to flawlessly and effortlessly create a precise, super crisp wing for the perfect cat eye – just like KVD’s.

I purchased the Trooper color (ink black) which is highly pigmented. Once applied, it dries instantly and stays on all day without any flaking, fading, or smudging. It does not remove from your eyes until you use makeup remover. Trust me, I have slept with it on (I know, a big no-no!) and it was still in tact the next day! Really, the name for this liner is perfect because it is like a real tattoo liner. But, don’t worry, it is not hard to remove. I have been able to remove it easily with makeup wipes. It comes off just like any other eyeliner. I do not have oily lids but if you do, I think this liquid liner will still perform fabulously.

The tattoo liner comes in two fab colors, Mad Max Brown and Trooper. You can create a variety of looks with this liner – from a very thin to thick line, dual or multiple lines. I have even used it to line my lower lashes.

KVD’s Tattoo Liner is also cruelty free. This liquid eyeliner gets a HUGE thumbs up from me 👍

Have any of you tried this liquid liner? What is your fav go-to liquid liner?

Until next time lovelies!

      1. She sure does. I tried her foundation and almost bought it but decided on something else instead. I may go back and get it at some point though. Her lippies and shadows are fierce. Def looking forward to getting some more goodies from this brand.
