I love Chanel. There is just something about those double C’s that makes you feel instantly glamorous. A friend of mine used to work in their New York City office and says it is unlike any other workplace he has ever seen. There are beautiful people everywhere, and only the finest of things.

Chanel is a very expensive brand so their beauty products must be the best of the best. While out shopping for Christmas, I decided it was time to purchase my first Chanel lipstick. I have now graduated to fine makeup so what the heck – I’m ready to take one of their lipsticks for a spin!

And quite a few spins I’ve been taking lately. My product of choice is, of course, lipsticks. More specifically, lipsticks that come in any mauve or pink shade. I have been going crazy buying liquid lipsticks, lipsticks, and lip glosses. Somebody stop me!

This time it’s the Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Legende (number 428) that I’m obsessed with. It’s been my go-to lipstick over the holidays.

My lips are dry so I prefer creamy lipsticks over matte ones. A lipstick that provides lasting hydration and long wear time is what I look for in my lipsticks.

Légende is described as an “intense satin pink”. It is a medium muted pink-coral with warm, rosy red tones and a bit of shimmer that gives it a frosted satin finish. For me, it really has the perfect amount of shimmer. It also has a semi-opaque color payoff and goes on evenly and smoothly. This lipstick wears for at least four hours and is super hydrating. The formula is very moisturizing as it is a satin finish.

I consider the Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour to be a fabulous, perfect lipstick no matter which color you choose. Between the packaging, pigmentation, texture, and longevity, I am in love with this lipstick and definitely plan on buying some more shades soon. It is a bit on the pricey side ($36.00) but in my opinion, it’s well worth it.
