Viseart Sultry Muse Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Viseart Sultry Muse Eyeshadow Palette

Viseart makes some of the best professional quality eyeshadows on the market. I can attest to that as I own three of their palettes and am constantly blown away at how highly pigmented these shadows are. Plus, they have incredible staying power. The Viseart Sultry Muse (05) Eyeshadow Palette intrigued me because of how elegant all of the colors in the palette look together.

She’s such a beauty! When I first saw this palette, I envisioned creating eye looks that are soft and classy but with a little edge.

Viseart Sultry Muse (05) Eyeshadow Palette Review

With the Viseart Sultry Muse (05) Eyeshadow Palette you get 12 eyeshadows with satin to metallic finishes. The colors lean more towards neutral hues with beige, brown and copper shades.

While I love all of the colors in this palette, some of the beige and copper shades seem redundant to me. I would’ve liked to have seen a little more variation of color in this palette. Maybe if they threw in a purple or something like that.

The quality of the eyeshadows in this palette is superb (not surprised here). Some of the shadows throw off some powder in the pan but some of the shadows are creamy enough that they don’t. Luckily the white shade is on the top and away from harm. 😉

These shadows last all day (with primer). I’ve had these eyeshadows on for at least 10 hours on any given day and they never crease or fade. They have semi-opaque to complete opaque pigmentation. All of the shadows blend well and all of the shades work well together.

Swatches – Top Row

Viseart Sultry Muse Eyeshadow Palette – Top Row (L to R): Yves, Camille, Kifu, Gitte

Yves: a warm white with an almost-metallic finish. I use this shade mostly on the inner corners of my eyes to brighten and widen my eyes.

Camille: a medium coppery brown with metallic finish.

Kifu: a light beige with a satin almost-metallic finish. This is a great shade for highlighting.

Gitte: a light-medium, golden brown with a satin almost-metallic finish. This is also a great shade for highlighting.

Swatches – Middle Row

Chloe: a light blue with silver undertones and a metallic finish.

Melonie: a bright, light-medium orange copper with a satin finish.

Diana: a medium-dark black with satin almost-metallic finish.

Ceska: a light-medium, yellow gold with a metallic finish.

Packaging

The Viseart palettes are not fancy but they are sleek. What I do like the most is the clear lid so you can see all the colors right away. One of my pet peeves with Viseart palettes in general is that they don’t include the names of the eyeshadow shades anywhere on the palette or packaging.

Pros & Cons

Pros: Quality, high pigmentation, easy to use, travel-friendly, clear lid, sleek design, long wearing, shade selection (even though I find some of the shades to be redundant, I don’t have many of these shades in my eyeshadow collection).

Cons: Some of the shadows throw off powder in the pan and can be slightly messy to work with, shade names are not included in the palette or packaging, price is a bit steep ($80 USD).

Verdict: I love this palette and am thrilled to have it in my collection. While $80 is a steep price to pay for eyeshadows, the quality of these shadows (and Viseart palettes in general) is superb. I would highly recommend this palette if you are looking for some neutral satin-metallic shades to add to your eyeshadow collection.
