Happy Saturday my Fabulous friends!! The sun finally came out after a few days of gray gloomy weather! So, off to the nail salon I went. Today, I’m in a pink kinda mood so I got my nails “did” in pink….see. For those of you who want to know what nail polish this is, it’s by OPI and the color is Suzi’s Hungary Again!
To celebrate my pink mood, I brought out these two babies right here. They are the Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in the Crush (warm matte pink) shade and Too Faced Melted Metal Lipstick in Metallic Peony.
First, let me talk about Urban Decay’s blush and how much I’m loving it today. I’m the biggest sucker for blush and Urban Decay’s new Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush is a huge reason for me to pinch myself (no need to pinch the cheeks though because they’re already pink-y today).
This blush is very sheer, has a smooth consistency, and satin-matte finish (not really shimmery). It’s also extremely blendable. While it’s on the thinner side, it doesn’t take much of the product to give a ton of pigment. If you want to kick it up a notch and have a more dramatic look, you can pack it on plenty.
I have to say that overall this blush is Fab! I picked it up at Ulta for $26 (ouch!). But, one look at this pink vibrant pop of bold color and I couldn’t resist.
I like matte powder blushes because my skin is a bit on the oily side and the matte powder blushes prevent my skin from looking shiny (no cream blushes for this chick right here!).
Next up is this baby right here from Too Faced. I seriously had a hard time picking a color for myself because this lipstick comes in so many beautiful colors! I ultimately ended up getting the Metallic Peony color which is purrrfect for me.
This lipstick is thick and creamy, dries on the lips without being too drying, and lasts a long time. It goes on like a gloss and dries with a matte finish. There’s so many good things to say about this lipstick! I love that it comes in a tube, it’s long lasting, you don’t need to use a lip liner, the velvet tip is so soft and provides a precise application, and I am absolutely in love this color! It’s like a soft pink rose with a burst of metallic color. I am definitely going to be picking up more of these lipsticks.

It sure is! I’m so glad I got it. The color is unlike any pink I’ve seen. I was scared it would be too bold of a pink but it’s not…I’m impressed! 🙂

Pink and Coral are my favs! That’s a really pretty blush. See…. now I’d freak if I saw that in the store – I’d say too bright but it’s so sheer and pretty on!! I love Creme Cup for a nude pink lipstick by MAC and for a bold pink, Pink Nouveau. I did a look on my blog using Pink Nouveau recently. Love that pink. And Fearless in the Tarte Amazonian Clay collection is a gorgeous pink forever lasting blush!

Funny, I had the same reaction in the store! I tried it and was pleasantly surprised at the color & how sheer it was. I’m the same with my blush colors; Always stick to pinks and corals. I have to check out those MAC lipsticks. I’m a sucker for anything in pink. Will have a look at the look on your blog. Thanks for reading!!! 🙂

I wish I could have done all MAC but I didn’t have all the stuff. That Stila liner was life altering for me! WOW is it GOOD.

Thanks!! This lipstick is definitely worth a buy. It comes in so many awesome colors too. Wish I could get them all! I also love that it’s not sticky like a lip gloss.. It looks and goes on like one but its actually creamy & moisturizing!
