I have a new product that I’ve been using (and loving) every day for the past few months.
Let me introduce you to Tarte’s CC Undereye Corrector.
This past weekend I really noticed that the dark circles under my eyes are pretty bad and they might be here to stay – cue sad face :(. I suppose it’s just one of the drawbacks of getting older. I’ve tried a few undereye concealers in the past but they just didn’t cut-it. But then I came across this baby and it’s a life changer!
I believe this product by Tarte has been on the market for a while now so I’m not sure why I haven’t picked it up sooner.
Tarte’s CC Undereye Corrector uses a color-correcting clay to offset the look of dark circles and discoloration and a formula that brightens the undereye area and softens the appearance of fine lines. This product is truly capable of performing both of these crucial tasks!
I purchased the Light-Medium shade for $24 and think that it’s the perfect color for my undereye area.
How to apply: Simply use your finger or your fav concealer brush. I prefer to use my finger. Did you know that your finger is actually the best tool for applying concealer under your eyes? That’s because the heat from your finger helps to warm and melt the concealer, allowing it to blend in better. By using your finger it creates a crease-free finish and provides a more natural look. Just dab, dab, dab under your eyes.
Below, you can see how creamy Tarte’s CC Undereye Corrector is. It’s super creamy but without being greasy. This product is soft and very blend-able for excellent coverage under your eyes.
Here’s a before and after picture. The top left pic shows how my undereye area looks after I’ve applied the product. The top right pic shows how my undereye area looks before applying the product. Huge difference right?! And, the bottom pic shows how my eyes look once I’ve finished applying all of my makeup.
Verdict: If you’re looking for an undereye color corrector and brightener with a ton of coverage power, this is the product for you. The creamy texture is also perfect for dry skin. It won’t cake, enhance fine lines, or get patchy. It provides great coverage while staying put. I really love this product and highly recommend it. The one and only downside is that it doesn’t come in many shades; they only released the light-medium and medium-tan shades.
So, what has been your experience with undereye concealers? Please let me know what undereye concealer you’re currently loving!
