Can we take a minute and just appreciate Ipsy for all the new brands they turn us on to? This is why I love Ipsy. I usually receive one standout product in my Glam Bag each month. In April, I received the Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil in the color Mystic. This is definitely one of the most convenient and unique products I own.
Nudestix is a Canadian brand that hit the makeup scene in full force. It is a brand to absolutely love, and here’s why. Created by a mom and her two daughters, Nudestix is a simple collection of natural looking, multi-purpose, easy-to-use makeup (no brushes required!) Their products provide nude looks that work with virtually any skin tone. The line is so simple and yet fun. You have to love the creative packaging too. All Nudestix products come in an eco-friendly matte black tin with built in mirror and pencil sharpener. The pencil sharpener is excluded from their mascara and lip pen as it’s not needed with those products. I find the packaging to be very stylish and versatile.
The Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil can be used as a lip color, lip liner, lip balm, or cheek color. The 4-in-one formula in their crayons are enriched with vitamin E, antioxidants and moisturizers (shea butter). These are really extra creamy, leaving my lips uber-soft with a semi shiny finish. They don’t skimp on color either. These babies are loaded with intense pigment. The color payoff, coverage and blendability is AMAZING!!!!
The color Mystic is one of eight (8) nude shades. It is one of the warmer nude shades with pink and brown undertones. If I had to choose a favorite lip shade that works well with my skin tone (neutral), this would be it. It’s the perfect every day color and can be paired with any eye look.
Although you can use this Lip + Cheek Pencil as a lip liner or cheek color, I’ve used this only as a lipstick. If used as a cheek color, you would swipe 3 stripes of color on the apples of your cheeks and blend with your fingers outwards.
The Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil retails at Sephora for $24. In my opinion, these are adequately priced. I feel they are worth every penny! This product is also organic, gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan, hypoallergenic, free of preservatives and fragrance, and great for sensitive skin.
My one and only criticism with this product is that the product is so creamy that when you sharpen it, a good portion of the product transfers onto the blades of the sharpener. This happens more so if you use a different sharpener than the one it comes with. Because the product is so creamy, I’m not sure you can avoid this. Perhaps a twist-up feature would have been better suited for this product.
Have you tried the Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil? What did you think about it? I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
Until next time loves,

I’ve heard great things about Nudestix but haven’t played with them. I like the fact that all the shades are so wearable! I know what you mean though, it would be easier to have this as a twist up pencil.
