Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a fabulous Easter weekend. Today I am going to talk about the Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter that I received for free from Influenster for reviewing purposes. This highlighter is part of the Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Collection. The Coconut Collection also includes a face primer which I previously reviewed here, a setting mist, a limited edition O!mega bronzer, and a limited edition bronzer brush.

It’s no lie that I’m a huge fan of Marc Jacobs Beauty products. I must own at least half of their makeup collection! What I love most about their products (other than the quality) is that they all work so well with my dry & sensitive skin. Their packaging is always so sleek too – just gorgeous! The Coconut Gel Highlighter is no different.

Now, this is not your traditional highlighter. What I mean by that is that this is not a powder or cream highlighter; it’s a gel. And, you can use this gel multiple ways. For example, you can apply this highlighter directly onto your skin or you can add it to your foundation or primer.

This highlighter can be used similarly to the Cover FX Enhancer Drops except you won’t end up looking like Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. With the Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Gel Highlighter, you get a more natural dewy finish.

After having used this gel highlighter several times, here’s what you can expect:

  • Lightweight.
  • Long wearing.
  • Has a golden-peach, warm hue.
  • Blends easily with your foundation or primer.
  • When blended with foundation or primer, it leaves a radiant, sun-kissed glow.
  • When blended directly on your skin, it leaves a sheer illuminating glow.
  • Light scent of coconuts (for me it also smells like vanilla bubble bath).
  • Formulated with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to help hydrate and nourish skin.
  • Packaging is FAB! The frosted glass bottle is gorgeous and I love that it has a pump dispenser.

Verdict: I’m loving this highlighter! While I won’t be getting rid of my traditional powder highlighters any time soon, this is still a fabulous option. Especially, if you want a more natural look. What I love most about this highlighter is that it’s not heavy and it keeps my skin looking hydrated, dewy and glowy. A little goes a long way with this; over application may lead to more visible uneven, textured skin areas.

The Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Gel Highlighter retails for $44 and is available at Sephora.

Have you tried this highlighter?

Thank you so much for reading!

Love always,

    1. I used to be the same with liquid or cream makeup. I now have blushes, bronzers, highlighters and eyeshadows in liquid and/or cream form. I’m totally loving it all – especially when I learn how to best use them. I’ve definitely had a little trial & error but all in all, I love experimenting with new makeup. I’d love to know what you think of this if you pick it up! 🙂
